I am currently a student at Art and Design High School where I am majoring in Illustration. In my work, I mainly focus on drawing and painting animals, mythical creatures, and prehistoric creatures. I also enjoy drawing people and creating my own characters. I draw what I’m attracted to in a particular moment. I know that beauty starts from within before it manifests where it can be seen.

My aspiration is to improve upon my drawing techniques and learn new skills. My dream is to become a talented artist. I want my art to make viewers feel invited to live inside my drawings, to encounter a presence of beauty, and feel that anything is possible. If given the opportunity to study at the Art Students League, I know I will build my skills and knowledge, and learn how to use different materials in my work. The League would help to prepare for my future as an artist and fulfill my desire to create.
The artists that have influenced me are Jean-Michel Basquiat, Vincent Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, and Pablo Picasso. Looking at their art makes me feel like I’m living in their paintings, like I’m invited to live in that very moment and observe a different time in the past. My illustration teacher Mr. Harrington has also inspired me, by teaching me how to explore and create with different art mediums. These influences have helped to inform what I want for myself in the future.
