Seeds Scholarships

Seeds of the League awards scholarships to NYC youth and young adults ages across all five boroughs to take classes at the Art Students League. These scholarships, supported by foundations and individuals, are awarded to individuals in underserved communities who would not otherwise be able to take classes at the League. Seeds Scholarships help young people prepare for specialized art high schools, college admission and careers in the arts. Since 2010, more than 800 scholarships have been awarded.

Scholarship recipients meet with our Community Programs staff to select a suitable class and instructor, and attend classes weekly on-site at the League, located at 215 W 57th Street. Scholarships cover tuition and the costs of all class materials.
