Pre-Festival Events Start June 13, Literary Festival on June 18

Join us for our Fourth Annual Schomburg Center Literary Festival as we continue the Center’s long tradition of championing authors of African descent from across the globe and publications that celebrate Black history and culture.

Programs will be held from 10:30 AM – 6 PM on four stages inside the Schomburg Center and outdoors on 135th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and Malcolm X Boulevard. Author readings, panel discussions, and workshops will range from prose to poetry, comic books to young adult novels, fiction, and nonfiction.

Participating authors include Jason Reynolds (Stunt BoyMiles Morales: Spider-ManPatinaGhost) and Roxane Gay (HungerBad Feminist, Difficult Women), and more. See our program schedule.
