I’m an artist and I wanted to find a way to improve what I love doing by going back to the basics to develop my technical skills. In a year or so, I want to go to art college for studio art, and when I’m an adult, I want to be an art therapist or work in another area of art.
I appreciate all kinds of art; I think they go hand in hand. If you’re a painter, you are also a poet. I don’t believe that any art form can come on its own.
I learned this from Jean Michel Basquiat, who’s one of my favorite artists. My personal style is influenced by Japanese superflat artists such as Aya Takano and Chiho Aoshima.
