I want to study anatomy, color values and schemes. I also want to study painting and how I can improve the skills that I already have. I want to study how the brushes work and their uses. I want to learn how to take simple shapes and create something intricate and detailed. I want to develop my art style and to learn how to apply my imagination, skills, and the real world into my art. I want to study at the Art Students League because it will give me the opportunity to learn and broaden my areas of knowledge and take a step further to finding out what I really want to be when I grow up.

I have always dreamed of exploring different careers. When I was young, I wanted to be a teacher. At one point in life, I found that I was good at science, so I wanted to be a mad scientist using chemicals and beakers. Later, I wanted to be an animator, or comic artist. I once wanted to be a video editor because of my editing skills. I am still on the path to finding the right thing for me, but I know that I want it to be somewhere in the art field. Something that will let me be creative and in my element.
The artist that has influenced me the most is not one person but two. My mother was the first because she introduced me to the world of art. She has been with me every step of the way in her efforts to support me. She is a talented person who has painted amazing art and has sewn amazing pieces. She taught me everything I know and has painted with me too. My sister is the second person who has inspired me the most. She has such a fiery passion for art, that you can feel the determination and the love she has for it. She is always practicing to improve herself, and she does it because it makes her happy. I have always aspired to find something that will make me smile like art has for her. For now, I would be with her every step of the way and improve alongside her. My art has always seemed to get better when I draw with her. She helps to point out my mistakes, and I help her too.
