I want to study at the Art Students League because it would give me the opportunity to learn from others and improve my craft. I would experience things I would not learn at school or by researching on the internet.
When I grow up, I plan to continue to learn and work as an artist, primarily in painting and drawing. I have thought about what I want to pursue as a career, but I do not have a clear answer for this yet. For now, I am focusing on improving my artistic skills.

“I want to paint whatever comes to mind, even if it might not make sense to other people.”
Sui Ishida is the artist that has influenced me the most. I have been interested in his art for a while now, and I have tried to learn from it. I like how he expresses himself freely. His artwork is detailed and while it seems like he combines elements from different genres, it all feels very unified. I especially like how he draws people. The way he combines poses and facial expressions with background elements and colors contributes to the overall feeling he wants to transmit. There seems to be a lot of room for interpretation from the viewer in his illustrations, and I aspire to this in my artwork.

I want to make paintings that make people think, where the work is not easily identifiable and there is a deeper meaning behind it. I want my artwork to be unexpected and open to interpretation. Other times, I want to paint whatever comes to mind, even if it might not make sense to other people.
