My deep-rooted passion for art has led me to aspire to study at the prestigious Art Students League and pursue a career in fine arts. Recently, I stumbled upon the mesmerizing world of oil painting and was instantly captivated by it. I owe my newfound love for this art form to the excellent tutelage of Amy Weiskopf, whose Sunday classes introduced me to the fundamentals of oil painting and inspired me to explore other mediums as well. The hands-on experience I gained in her class was truly enlightening and opened a whole new world of creativity for me.

I’m drawn to the Art Students League because of its rich legacy of nurturing and supporting renowned artists over the years. Its intensive yet supportive and diverse environment is just what I need to push myself toward creating art that is truly exceptional. Finding a space to oil paint freely in the city can be quite challenging, as renting a studio or painting at home is not always practical. However, immersing myself in an artistic environment like the League will give me the freedom to explore my creativity without any restrictions.
Furthermore, as I am yet to discover my own unique art style, experimenting with different techniques and mediums at the League will be incredibly beneficial for me on my artistic journey. I am eager to learn from experienced artists and fellow students who share my passion for art and strive to reach their full potential, just like me.
