I have always been interested in pursuing a career in the arts either as a fashion designer or an artist in general. Moving to New York from Georgia was supposed to be my chance to pursue that because all the art high schools seem to be in New York. The problem with that was the fact that I was a junior and nobody wanted to help me start all over in my art education process. I have been looking for programs to help fill in that void and this program just so happened to be one of the best and most prestigious programs in New York.
I want to learn how to paint with watercolors and create sculptures. Also, I want to expand my knowledge and skill in drawing. Before I apply to art college, I would like to be classically trained in art. The way Claude Monet expresses movement through painting has always inspired me to learn how to paint.
