When I get older, I plan to become an architect. I am fascinated by the influence a space can have on a person’s experience. Therefore, my dream is to explore ways I can create that influence in my career through the spaces I am tasked with planning. To achieve this, I am applying to colleges to earn my bachelor’s in architecture and enrolling in the next coming school year. I hope that your program can help me build a compelling portfolio to provide the school’s admissions offices with proof of the creativity sought after by these colleges.

The samples I have chosen to attach are taken from my sketchbook in hopes that they can emphasize some conceptual potential. Unfortunately, as of now, I don’t have documentation of most of my artwork, as they were held by the instructors, I completed them with. However, I have multiple pieces in progress that I have been continuing in my free time as of late. Although they are not shown in my application portfolio, I particularly enjoy and regularly practice the use of acrylic paint, colored pencil, and charcoal. I come from a background of art specializing in middle and high school. Visual art has been a regular practice in my life since I was very young.

Overall, I am grateful for the opportunity that is being given to the students of City-As-School through this program, and I am glad to be considered. I look forward to hopefully spending the next quarter becoming equipped to pursue my ambitions with your assistance.
